Monthly Archives: January 2012
To celebrate the second anniversary of the MMCat, part of the permanent collection will be updated with new acquisitions and donations, meaning that some of the works will no longer be exhibited for some time.
The MMCAT wants visitors to actively take part in the decision-making, therefore, visitors to the museum and Facebook fans can vote for their favourite work of art to remain in the new permanent collection. All participants will enter the prize draw for an invitation for two to the 2nd Anniversary Gala, which is strictly by invitation only.
The deadline for taking part is 15 March 2012; the two winners’ names will be announced the next day: one visitor and one Facebook fan.
The works of art that can be saved are:
Hermen Anglada Camarasa. Gypsy mother in a market. Paris, 1903
Lambert Escaler. The lost kiss of winter. Circa 1904
Gaspar Homar. Saint George. Circa 1907
Eliseu Meifrén. Cadaqués. Circa 1910
